These Dogs Have The Cool Job Of Protecting Penguins On A Remote Australian Island



Little penguin colonies have been going extinct on Australia’s coastline because foxes are hunting them.

On Middle Island, which is off the coast of Warrnambool, the colony was decimated to less than ten penguins in 2005.

Officials knew they had to figure something out to protect the penguins, so when a local chicken farmer suggested guard dogs, they looked into it.
