Neglected dog had to have leg amputated and “concrete” fur cut off by vets with a SAW

Fluffy, an eight-year-old Bichon Frise, needed 750g of hair hacked away using a scalpel and a cutting saw, usually used to remove plaster casts, in a two-hour operation. Vet Hugo Martins also had to amputate Fluffy’s left front leg that had become red-raw and ravished by infection that had spread to the bone. Brooke said he was reluctant to go to a grooming salon he regularly used because Fluffy had previously bitten a member of staff.
